Brother Earl Martin of Mystery Ministries will be our guest speaker this Sunday evening. He will be speaking in the first week of Junior Camp at Camp Rapidan. Pastor Hockema of Smith Creek Baptist in New Market asked if we could have him come, and I was happy to do it. Below you will find some information from his website about his ministry.

Check out his website to see some exciting things. We are looking forward to this special guest!

Earl N. Martin is the founder and executive director of Mystery Ministries, Eph. 6:19. Saved as a child, he grew up going to Christian school and graduated from Maranatha Baptist Bible College in 1988. He married his best friend from college, Amy Romkee, in 1986. Upon graduation, they served for two and one half years in a local church north of Detroit, Michigan, working with the youth and music program. They surrendered to full time youth evangelism and traveled the U.S. full time for four years. They moved to Franklin, TN, to serve at Spring Meadow Baptist Church with the youth and music for four years while still traveling part time. Earl believed the Lord was leading him to plant the Still Waters Baptist Church in West Nashville. After two years of much labor Still Waters merged with another local church in the Nashville area. Earl and Amy served there from 2001-04 in areas such as Adult Sunday school teachers as well as the music and children’s ministry. In October of 2004, Earl was called to the Youth Pastor position at First Baptist Church of Hoopeston, IL. He served with Pastor Steve Nelson until he retired, then stayed on at the church for another year. In June of 2008, they moved to the Milwaukee, WI, area where Earl worked for six months at VCY America, a conservative Christian radio and television ministry. He then came on staff at First Baptist Church of West Bend as the Family Ministries Pastor in January 2009.

Earl’s ministry heartbeat since he surrendered to the Lord in 1984 has always been youth evangelism. He has now discovered a way to re-enter a global youth evangelism ministry by developing the MRE Media Network which is designed to capitalize on the power of the world wide web. Please consider joining with him to grow this outreach opportunity.

Evangelist Nate BeamI want to thank Brother Nate Beam, who came up from North Carolina and preached for us on short notice last night. He is a fine young preacher who takes the Word of God seriously and does a fine job of expounding it. To listen to his message, go to our Sermons page.
